24x28 Tall walled garage/shop with loft
This super looking log garage is more of a log shop. Tall 12' walls create room for a car lift. This customer has a 2 post lift in there, and it fits nicely, with a shop area down on the far end for his tools and work area. The loft is added to provide extra room for guests to stay, and a studio area (plenty of room up there, about a 13'x28' room). You can flip the floorplan left to right, up, down, move things around to make rooms larger and others smaller, stretch the design (more costs), shrink it (save $), make it taller, different wall log diameters, add or subtract deck, railing, porches, entry trusses, add a garage, you name it, all doable. We try to advise you to keep the bathrooms stacked (plumbing costs), so a wet wall is shared, and some design elements like ridge lines and posts need to be approximately where they are, but the sky is the limit (let us help you get what you want)!

update a couple years later. The tall wall log shop has lots of room. 8x18' insulated door for easy access, several windows, now solar panels were installed on the roof system, feeding the nearby log home, as well as being grid-tied. Also a mini-split air source heat pump.

the interior of this shop is just getting finished. Epoxy coating was added to the floor after this pic. This is a slightly smaller 24x26' tall walled shop, similar to the design above, but different from the 28' shop shown on the left 2 pictures.
