The Antler Ridge Chalet, widened with extension wing and garage
This is a modified Antler Ridge Chalet, as we widened the home 2' in the center area, and shortened the front to back 2', then added a huge wing to bring this impressive chalet to 3890 square feet of log home living! We designed and priced the home with larger 9" logs, an enclosed "arctic" entry, 35" long tails/eaves/soffits, 8' daylight basement, plus 624' of deck, 30x30' detached full log garage with 8'4" tall log walls over 16" concrete stem walls for 9'8" total height of the main log walls, offering a roomy tall wall appeal. Some put the basement halfway into the ground, a walkout daylight as shown, or whatever you choose, as you are getting inexpensive square footage, extra bedrooms in the loft or basement, and even a huge area if needed downstairs, or chose no basement. Many are now using the ICF forms (insulated concrete forms), which double as insulating walls, also, you can hang your sheetrock or T&G directly to the foam, as they have internal plastic framing you can screw to every 8” across the whole wall. Many step the sides down, where you frame the front wall, have 3 sides of concrete, or even step the concrete down 2 or more times down the side walls, with framing on top for a basement. This beauty sports an open floor plan, massive character posts and beams, and still the price as shown is $194,000, Final bid price depends on log wall size, lumber and materials market at time of purchase, and your customized design. We offer this model in 7.5”, 8”, 8.5", 9”, 10” and 12″ full log wall sizes, all other materials are the same on our homes. Fully Customizable Log Cabin Kit Designs
You can flip the floorplan left to right, up, down, move things around to make rooms larger and others smaller, stretch the design (more costs), shrink it (save $), make it taller, different wall log diameters, add or subtract deck, railing, porches, entry trusses, add a garage, you name it, all doable. We try to advise you to keep the bathrooms stacked (plumbing costs), so a wet wall is shared, and some design elements like ridge lines and posts need to be approximately where they are, but the sky is the limit (let us help you get what you want)!
